CSU Swoosh Logos

University Logo

A secondary symbol for the university, the "swoosh" is designed for more casual uses, such as license plates or promotions. On things such as this, the swoosh can stand alone.

NOTE: Please always use the symbol with the words "Columbus State University" underneath. In instances where the logo is on a dark background, please print the words "Columbus State University" in white or make sure the white background of the logo is printed behind the name, so that the words "Columbus State University' are easily readable.

The swoosh can be used in publications in addition to any other unit or college symbol, but can not be substituted for the official clocktower logo, which is to be used on the back, or the front, of every Columbus State University publication, letterhead or other official documents. Please contact the Public Relations Office with any questions. Camera-ready logos and computer images may be obtained from either the Public Relations Office or Printing Services.

Typeface

The typeface used in the logo, and on all campus stationery, is Linotype Centennial.

Colors

The logo prints in all black or PMS #541 blue and PMS #186 red with a white background. Any deviation from these colors must be approved by the Public Relations Office. If printed on a colored paper (or clothing), it must be printed in black or PMS #541 blue and PMS #186 red with white background.

Downloadable Images

Below, you'll find links that will allow you to download the CSU logos. The GIF files are best suited for Web pages and Web-based delivery.  Transparent images can be used when you want your page's background to show through parts of the image. Light transparent images have white lettering which appears better on dark colored backgrounds; Dark transparent images have black lettering which appears better on light colored backgrounds. The BMP files are best suited for use in documents created using Microsoft software (e.g., Microsoft Word).  The EPS and TIF (IBM and Macintosh) files are best suited for documents created in Adobe and other desktop publishing software. CMYK images should be used when printing to a color printer to ensure color matching; otherwise the RGB images will produce sharper colors.
